The Department of Education (DE) provides information to support families applying for enrolment in government schools DE enrolment information
Year 7 enrolments follow the DE timeline and the process is explained in detail on our Year 7 enrolment page.
Our school has an enrolment restriction under section 2.2.16 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic).
Our school will prioritise enrolments from:
- students who live within the school zone
- students with a sibling attending the school at the same time
- students seeking enrolment on compassionate grounds, in exceptional circumstances.
Depending on available places remaining, our school may be able to accept a limited number of out-of-zone enrolments according to next closest to the school.

Enrolment Zone
Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which provides the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.
Students living within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school. This is determined based on your child’s permanent addess.
Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy. This is done to ensure that students can enrol in their local school or enrol at another school if there is a place available.

SEAL Program
The Select Entry Academic Learning (SEAL) program addresses the needs of those students who are of high intellectual potential and display a range of exceptional abilities across their studies.
In accordance with the DE Enrolment policy only students offered enrolment in 2027 are eligible to apply for this program.

Enrolment Process for students in all other Year levels
Entry into Years 8 – 12 is by “Expression of Interest”. If you are considering applying for enrolment in Terms 1 or 3 please complete the online application form and include two recent school reports and a birth certificate or passport.

Students offered enrolment at Sandringham College will be required to complete an online enrolment form on Compass and supplying supporting documentation prior to commencement at the College.
International Student Enrolment
International Student applications must be submitted to the Department of Education and Training CRICOS Provider Code 00861K. Applications will be considered for students with an academic average of 80%+. Students applying for direct entry into VCE require a minimum IELTS score of 6+.
