School Council
The School Council is formed according to the guidelines established by the Department of Education and Training (DET).
The School Council membership is a locally agreed model based upon these guidelines. The School Council sets policy directions but the day to day operation of the school is the responsibility of the Principal. At the beginning of each school year a notice of School Council Elections and Call for Nominations is published on the school website and through Compass.
The Principal forms the key link between the role of the School Council to determine whole school policy, the responsibility of staff to successfully implement those policies, and those of the DET. The School Council and its constituted subcommittees consist of parents, staff and students and are open to all members of the school community. The Sandringham College Council consists of the Principal, four elected parents, two staff representatives and two co-opted members. Two positions are reserved for student representatives chosen by the student body.

Please join our energetic group. Together, we can help make a difference in the lives of our students and the school community.
The Sandringham College Parents, Teachers and Friends (PTF) association aims to provide parents and carers with opportunities to connect with each other, volunteer, support the College through fundraising and wellbeing programs, and build a strong supportive parent community. We like to make things happen and also have fun in the process.
Every year the PTF runs a number of services and events that parents and carers can get involved with::
