She prioritises building teacher capacity through professional learning, coaching and collaboration, ensuring high-quality instruction in every classroom.
She is committed to ensuring that every student is known, supported and challenged, and to developing young people of great character who are equipped to succeed beyond school.
At Sandringham College, we are committed to our vision of Academic Excellence and Young People of Great Character. This vision underpins every aspect of our work and reflects our belief that all students can achieve high levels of success when supported by strong teaching, clear expectations and a culture of where we genuinely care about student learning.
We know our students as individuals. We value their unique strengths and interests, and we are deliberate in providing meaningful, structured pathways that ensure success both at school and beyond. Our focus is not only on where students finish, but on ensuring that when they leave our College, they do so with confidence, knowledge and the character to thrive in the world ahead.
Our teaching and learning program is grounded in evidence-based practice, with a clear and consistent focus on the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model (VTLM 2.0). Over the next five years we are aiming to implement explicit teaching practices to ensure that every lesson is purposeful, structured and designed to maximise learning. We maintain high expectations for all students and use assessment and data to respond to individual learning needs, ensuring strong growth for learners.
We are equally committed to the development of the whole person. Through our wellbeing programs and strong relationships, we support students to develop resilience, integrity, empathy and a strong sense of responsibility. We celebrate success in all its forms—academic, artistic, sporting and personal—and foster a culture where effort, improvement and contribution are recognised and valued.
Student voice and leadership are important aspects of our College. We provide structured opportunities for students to contribute to decision-making and to develop as leaders, ensuring they are active participants in their own learning and in the life of the school.
At Sandringham College, we are proud of our progress and ambitious for our future. We remain focused on continuously improving our practice so that every student is supported and challenged to achieve their personal best.
